Some background: the ISU was trying to stop ISA's appeal on procedural grounds by arguing that ISA ought to have appealed to the ISU Appeals Commission instead of the CAS. My personal opinion is that the ISA probably has a very good chance of winning their appeal and that the ISU knows that, but that the ISU was hoping to win by default by preventing a timely resolution of the appeal. It seems unfortunate that the CAS can't see fit to hear the case before January -- I know a lot of fans are getting very itchy to finalize their travel plans. -Sandra
